Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develop instrumentation and control system design documents, including specifications, drawings, and calculations
  • Choose and specify instrumentation parts, such as controllers, transmitters, and sensors.
  • Using CAD software, create schematics, diagrams, and layouts for control systems.
  • Using software tools like PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems, develop and put into practice control plans.
  • For planned initiatives, carry out cost-benefit evaluations and feasibility studies.
  • Ensure that projects are finished on schedule and under budget by working together with project managers, other engineers, and clients.
  • Ensure that instrumentation and control systems are designed and installed in compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to other team members.
  • Provide technical input during the procurement phase to ensure equipment and materials meet process requirements and project specifications.
  • Keep abreast on new developments in the field of instrumentation and control systems as well as market trends.
  • Support construction activities by resolving instrumentation engineering issues and ensuring adherence to design specifications.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to existing instrumentation and control systems and processes, including the introduction of new technologies and enhancements to current operations.
  • Insure all instrumentation and control engineering work complies with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering in a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within an EPC environment.
  • Proficiency in using CAD software for control system design.
  • Experience with control system programming and software tools such as PLC programming, DCS programming, or SCADA systems.
  • Knowledge of codes, standards, and regulations related to instrumentation and control systems, such as ISA, IEC, and NEC
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience with industrial processes and equipment, such as pumps, motors, and valves, is a plus design (FEED) through execution and commissioning.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
